Each class will build upon the movements learned in the previous session\, gradually bringing them together into a complete performance piece. \nStudents will explore: \n• Classical Pharaonic posture and movement \n• Graceful arms\, hands\, and expressive gestures \n• Traditional belly dance isolations and traveling steps \n• Sacred and ceremonial movement influences \n• Veil and candle-dance elements \n• Musical interpretation and theatrical presentation \n• Confidence\, stage presence\, and performance preparation \nThis is more than a dance class. SUMMARY:Pirates Seize the Night Fire Prop Choreography w/Karen Sun Ray
DESCRIPTION:Set sail for a high-energy pirate adventure with a playful fire-prop routine that feels theatrical\, mischievous\, and larger than life! Join the crew for this fun choreography to be performed at Hip Expression’s Annual Tribal Burn benefit which will help to support our beloved Sacred Lands Educational Preserve. The choreography will be geared toward fans or palms\, but other props may be incorporated as well. Please be mindful of the type of materials you will be wearing. (it may be necessary to spray it with fire retardant spray for your safety. She is co-founder of Hip Expressions and has been the Artistic Director of Tribal Burn for over 20 years. She is Director of Sahnobar Caravan\, who performs at various Medieval/Ren Faires around Florida. Dance preservation has been her focus for many years through studying the dances and cultures from around the world.
