If the keyboard is the 'brain' of Arabic music, the drum is the heart. ❤ Join me for a three-hour live tabla workshop with a professional Egyptian drummer! In this workshop, we will dissect the most common rhythms and show you how to respond to them with intention. We will also demonstrate tips and tricks for interacting with drummers on stage, as well as for improvisation. Finally, we'll work through a tabla choreo or combos that will inspire you choreograph your own drum solos for years to come. ***Separate event page coming for the hafla.*** I'm trying to make this a live music hafla.
